Journey of Reconciliation. Panama 2022

During the week of May 19-25, 2022 in Panama City, Panama, the Sixth Region Global Chamber of Commerce made history by bringing Kings and Queens of Africa to Panama to begin the process of healing past grievances . A home built on lies will never be able to stand. Therefore, Dr. Harris-Barrow felt the need to begin this Journey of Reconciliation with the truth. Kings and queens of Africa traveled to Panama to discuss the painful events of the past that still affect children of the African diaspora today.

Dr. Barrow presented her vision and initiative to Krishna Camarena Surgeon Director of the National Secretariat for the Development of Afro-Panamanians (SENADAP) and the Panamanian Government who welcomed the idea with genuine enthusiasm and with the understanding of the magnitude that such an important event represents in the milestone of history, for not only the African Diaspora but also for the indigenous people worldwide.

The highlight of the Journey was the Reconciliation Ceremony, in addition to the business and investment forum, cultural exchange, exhibitions, tours, educational forums, among other activities and attractions that were also included in the program.
